On Monday, June 23, 2025, the Benguet Agri-Pinoy Trading Center – Project Management Office (BAPTC-PMO) started its week with a Flag-Raising Ceremony (FRC). Biosystem Engineering interns, supervised by the General Services Unit (GSU), led the ceremony.

The ceremony began with the singing of the National Anthem and the recitation of the “Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas.” An intern then led a prayer, asking for blessings for the entire week ahead.

To energize everyone despite the rainy, gloomy day, the interns also organized a lively warm-up and dance session. Following this, various units and divisions shared important updates and discussed their ongoing or anticipated activities, all aimed at achieving the Center’s key goals.

A special highlight was the formal introduction of another batch of student interns from Benguet State University (BSU), who are taking up a Bachelor of Science in Development Communication (DevCom). These DevCom interns will be stationed at both BAPTC and the Agri-based Technology Business Incubator/Innovation Center (ATBI/IC). They’ll assist in preparing essential promotional materials and features.

The ceremony concluded by recognizing employees who have dedicated 10 years of service to the Center. The morning then transitioned into a friendly coffee fellowship, generously sponsored by the GSU.

This weekly flag-raising ceremony plays a crucial role in encouraging unity and a positive outlook among all at BAPTC. As wisely stated by Dalai Lama, “𝘈 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘭𝘦 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘳𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘺.”
