Prior to the commencement of the tournament, BAPTC-PMO led by General Manager Atty. Andres Arnold Wadingan Lampacan, CPA, conducted meetings with involved stakeholders earlier today to address concerns and elect โTournament Officialsโ from the participating stakeholders for the activity.
The tournament shall be under the supervision of the BAPTC-PMO however, the tournament including financial affairs will be managed by the elected โTournament Officialsโ.
The tournament is an initiative to build camaraderie between and among the management or personnel and the stakeholders; improve mental health, physical fitness, and productivity of personnel and stakeholders; and generate publicity to invite more stakeholders to conduct business at BAPTC and customers for stakeholders.

When individuals share a sense of camaraderie, they are more likely to collaborate effectively, exchange ideas, and support each other’s efforts.โ – Trayton Vance (2023). BAPTC is a workplace not only of the PMO personnel but also of the stakeholders. The relationship of the PMO with stakeholders in managing the Center is integral. Through sports, the management aims to improve the managementโs relationship with the stakeholders. A better relationship may lead to positive response to the implementation and the introduction of long-standing and new guidelines at BAPTC.

It involves light to heavy and dusk to dawn activities which require a fit physique. Physical activities, particularly sports such as basketball are known to not only improve the physical fitness but also the mental health of an individual. Productivity is also synonymous with mental health and physical fitness, as such to ensure a productive workforce, the management aims to improve the physical fitness of employees and stakeholders. Civil Service Commission (CSC) Chairperson Karlo Nograles during his SC Mindanao Sportsfest 2023 speech recognized the importance of taking care of employeesโ physical and mental wellness to effectively fulfill their duties; and to ensure a healthy and productive workforce, mental and physical fitness programs are needed to promote employee well-being.
๐ฎ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐. Sports activities are effective means of publicity and promotion. Taking advantage of the limitless reach of social media, the management through the sports aims to not only invite more stakeholders (truckers, traders, farmers, and market facilitators) to conduct business at the Center, but also to invite customers for stakeholders. Incidentally, individuals/groups who are unaware of BAPTC could also be informed of the existence of the Center and hopefully would visit the facility.
